Description

The Office of Inspector General (OIG) performs many varied functions for the Cabinet for Health and FamilyServices. OIG has six Divisions, Division of Regulated Child Care, Division of Health Care, Certificate ofNeed, Division of Kentucky Health Information Exchange, Division of Telehealth, and the Division of Audits andInvestigations. These Divisions cover a wide variety of job tasks and duties in varied settings throughoutKentucky, which include inspecting and licensing childcare and healthcare facilities and services, andconducting investigations of complaints in those facilities, as well as conducting Medicaid fraud and othertypes of complaints for the Cabinet. This position provides professional support to the Human Services Program Branch Manager and Surveyors of theDivision of Child Care, Southern Enforcement Branch. Serves as a Liaison with Central Office foradministrative functions. Assists in developing, implementing, and maintaining various complex programs,projects, or activities and performs other duties as required.

Responsibilities and Duties: Assists in updating spreadsheets for tracking survey packets. Reviews surveys for accuracy and enters survey notes into databases for closures, covid-19, etc. Uploads survey data into SharePoint. Serves as point of contact for Branch, answers phone, assists callers with questions and refers callers toappropriate staff. Tracks certified mail, processes, and distributes incoming mail & faxes. Responsible for ordering, purchasing, inventory and distribution of office supplies. Assists with new employee orientation, assures new hire packets are completed and submitted timely. Schedules meetings and interviews for staff. Maintains and updates mail and report log and sends out correspondence. Tracking of cell phones, laptops, desktops, and Branch equipment inventory. Responsible for obtaining staff submission of health screenings, trainings, and monthly reports. Serves as payroll and timekeeper for Branch and as Liaison to Central Office. Other duties as assigned. Skills and Expectations include but are not limited to the following:

Experience working in a Team Environment. Computer Skills - knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, and Outlook preferred. Minimum Requirements

EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Three years of professional, administrative, or business experience.

Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: Additional education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.

Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Additional administrative, business, research, and/or clerical experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Working Conditions

Incumbents working in this job title primarily perform duties in an office setting.

Probationary Period

This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
