Purpose Of The Job We are seeking a Payroll Specialist for a hybrid work environment (preferably Tuesday and Thursdays onsite) who will provide a seamless payroll experience to support our employees and scale with our business growth. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a sharp eye for detail, and brings both technical payroll knowledge and a service-driven mindset to the table. This role will primarily ensure the accuracy, compliance, and timely execution of our U.S. and global payroll operations with added duties as needed. Responsibilities
Data Collection & Verification: Gather, verify, and process employee timekeeping information, including hours worked, overtime, and leave. Wage Calculation: Calculate salaries, wages, bonuses, commissions, and other compensation, incorporating overtime and other adjustments. Deductions & Taxes: Determine and manage various deductions from pay, such as taxes (federal, state, and local), insurance premiums, and retirement contributions. Payment Processing: Prepare and issue paychecks or set up direct deposits to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee payroll records, updating information for promotions, terminations, and changes to benefits. Compliance & Reporting: Ensure payroll practices adhere to all applicable labor laws and tax regulations, monitoring changes in laws. Tax Filings: Prepare and submit payroll tax forms, tax deposits, and periodic payroll tax returns to government agencies. Reporting: Compile and distribute payroll summaries, expense reports, and reports for internal audits. Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues with payroll, often by collaborating with HR departments. Employee Support: Serve as a point of contact for employees, answering questions and providing information related to their pay, deductions, and benefits. Qualifications
Required Education: A minimum of an Associate’s Degree Required Experience: 3+ years of multi-state payroll processing experience 1+ years of ADP WFN experience Intermediate Excel NetSuite Knowledge Skills For Success
Collaborates well with cross functional teams, such as HR. Attention to detail and focus on identifying potential issues and continuous improvement. Professional communication skills Experience processing exempt and non-exempt payroll with ADP WFN system Employment type
