Role Overview The Manager, Major Account Sales, Healthcare & Education develops a sales strategy/business plan to expand Brother sales within the assigned territory and achieve sales quota with Healthcare and Education vertical end-user accounts in the U.S. The Manager opens net new accounts and continues to grow business with current customers through an executable sales strategy. The role also manages current accounts and engages with customers to foster strong relationships and drive net new sales.

Duties & Responsibilities Account Management

Identify top current end-users in territory; engage regularly to drive relationships, maintain current sales, and add net new sales

Participate in relevant market events, including trade shows, technology seminars, and association meetings

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, engineering, business development) to discuss Healthcare and Education vertical solutions and gather feedback on customer needs

Coordinate team selling activities to utilize all resources in prospecting and account management

Manage all territory HC-EDU bids and RFPs, directly and via authorized resellers

Monitor contracts in the HC/ED space, including state contracts, GOV-SLED buying groups, consortiums, and cooperative agreements

Sales Strategy Development

Develop an ongoing sales & market business plan/strategy for the territory with objectives and measures to meet sales goals

Identify key applications and solutions markets for printing, scanning, and labeling products

Identify and capitalize on strategic partnerships, communicating frequently to penetrate end-user customers through multiple channels (training, inside sales strategy, new solutions, webinars, promotions, and key sales calls)

Execute strategic sales plan and review findings with management weekly

Reporting & Administrative Requirements

Provide a monthly report on events and keep CRM updated weekly

Manage and maintain a calendar at least 90 days in advance

Review vertical sales information from the CRM (Salesforce) detailing opportunities and activity

Analyze findings with management and adjust sales strategy as needed

Experience & Qualifications Education

Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) in Business, Marketing, IT, or related field preferred

Experience

7+ years in sales, managing accounts within a region

Experience managing medium to large end-user accounts, preferably with knowledge of industry operations

Licenses/Certifications

HIPAA Privacy and Security Trained; Google for Education - Certified Education Level 1 - Preferred

Software/Technical Skills

Advanced knowledge of computer peripheral products (e.g., printers, fax, MFC)

Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word)

Automation products (e.g., digital copiers network applications)

CRM (Salesforce preferred)

Other Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities

Ability to collaborate with internal and external teams and maintain positive client relationships

Excellent communication & presentation skills (verbal & written)

Ability to diagnose customer issues and provide solutions

Knowledge of existing contacts and Book of Business in Healthcare and/or Education end customers (preferred)

Additional Details For This Role This role is a remote field-based role. A fixed office schedule is not an expectation of the position. The defined sales territory is the Southeast Region. Travel is expected throughout the territory up to 65% of the time (approximately 8-10 trips per quarter).

Compensation Details Base Salary: The targeted base salary range for this position is $90,000 - $110,000 per year. Base salary is determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as other factors.

Additional Compensation

Up to $26,000 annual sales bonus at 100% of target, with potential for above 100% based on performance and bonus plan

Eligible for a 6.86% bonus at 100% of target, with potential for above 100% based on company performance and bonus plan

Bonuses are discretionary and contingent on performance and company objectives

Auto allowance paid monthly, for vehicle maintenance used for business commuting; separate from Travel & Entertainment policy

About Where We Work Headquarters for the Americas is in Bridgewater, NJ. Our Bartlett, TN facility spans 1.5 million sq ft. We also have teams in Westminster, CO and distribution centers in Richmond, VA and Perris, CA. Outside sales are remote within territories, staying close to accounts.
