Job Summary The

Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative (PSR)

plays a vital role in delivering patient-centered care through safe, efficient, and high-quality specimen collection. This position represents the organization's commitment to healthcare excellence, patient trust, and operational accuracy.

Key Responsibilities • Perform venipuncture and capillary collections for patients across age groups, including pediatric and geriatric populations. • Verify patient demographics and ensure all specimen labels are accurate and signed in the patient's presence. • Maintain required documentation and ensure compliance with company and safety policies. • Follow established clinical and forensic collection procedures. • Ensure laboratory specimens are prepared correctly for testing and transported safely. • Maintain a professional and clean work environment while prioritizing patient comfort and safety. • Demonstrate adaptability by covering multiple collection sites as needed.

Required Experience • Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric collections. • At least 2 years in a Patient Service Center or clinical laboratory environment preferred. • Customer service or retail experience beneficial.

Required Skills • Excellent phlebotomy and specimen handling skills. • Accuracy and attention to detail in a high-volume setting. • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license (if applicable).

Preferred Skills • Medical Assistant or Paramedic training. • Phlebotomy certification (required in CA, NV, WA; preferred in TX).
