The team aims to empower and equip patients to take charge of their health and well-being by offering complimentary and integrative health care approaches that enhance self-empowerment, self-healing, and self-care. Our smaller panel sizes, wide array of support services and virtual care options provide more flexibility for patients to engage in their own health care and with their team. Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnostic work-up and clinic intervention, including comprehensive patient assessment, health history, physical examination, and patient education to Veterans in the Primary Care team setting. Works collaboratively with other health care professionals to accomplish patient, service, and medical center goals, promoting and embracing the Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) model of care, utilizing Integrity, Commitment, Advocacy, Respect, Excellence (ICARE) values throughout the clinic. Distinguish between normal and abnormal findings to establish a diagnosis and initiate appropriate response to emergency health problems. Order and evaluate diagnostic tests as appropriate, recommend treatment and/or referral. Initiate appropriate referrals and consultations to other clinical services. Initiate, evaluate, and change orders for medications. Follow Performance Measure guidelines, including completion of clinical reminders; access and timeliness standards; prescription order entry, National VA formulary Requirements, and customer service standards. Demonstrates flexibility in responding to clinic demands, adhere to personal and professional obligations and responsibilities. Practice and maintain ethical standards, and sustain a work environment that is harmonious and customer service oriented. Assists with arranging continuity of care across the VHA system as needed. Works to provide leadership on site to ensure care is completed in required timeframes. Participates in Quality Improvement activities. Participates and attends medical center committees as assigned. Education Debt Reduction Program (Student Loan Repayment): This position is eligible for the EDRP with eligibility requirements and application timing described by VHA policy. Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days annual leave, 13 days sick leave, 11 federal holidays, and possible 5 days CME) Retirement: Federal pension and 401K with VA contributions Insurance: Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care Liciense and CME: 1 full and unrestricted license; CME reimbursement up to $1,000 per year (full-time with board certification) Malpractice: Free liability protection with tail coverage Contract: No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restriction on moonlighting Requirements

Qualifications

Basic Requirements: U.S. Citizenship; medical degree from an approved school; current full and unrestricted medical license; approved residency training; eligibility for board certification or equivalent. Proficiency in spoken and written English. Preferred Experience: Board Certification desired but not required.
