Job Summary The Department of Radiology at University of Colorado Denver is seeking applicants for a full-time radiologist and faculty member in the Breast Imaging Section. We are interested in candidates at any stage of their career from the Sr. Instructor, Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor levels. Faculty can focus on clinical work with no research or promotion expectations. The department offers productivity-based compensation with hybrid options. Faculty may engage in teaching and are eligible for academic incentives. The department has a track record of obtaining J1 waivers, and relocation and signing bonuses are available.
Job Information
Interpreting screening and diagnostic mammograms
Breast MRI examinations
Performance and interpretation of breast sonograms
Performance of breast imaging-guided procedures (mammographically, stereotactically, tomosynthesis ultrasound- and MRI-guided needle biopsies; wire and Savi Scout localizations; drainages and drain placements; ductography)
All typical breast imaging equipment is available, including digital mammography with tomosynthesis, breast ultrasound, and MRI. Interventional procedures are performed using all breast imaging modalities. The Breast Section and the Department of Radiology have been recognized as an ACR Diagnostic Imaging Center of Excellence—the only Radiology department in Colorado with this honor.
Key Responsibilities
Anchor provider at a primary site with occasional coverage at other sites within the Denver Metro area
Participation and collaboration through interdisciplinary conferences
Participation in fellow and resident education
Regular interaction with referring providers in a highly collaborative setting
Work Location
Onsite in Aurora, CO
Hybrid option available (read from home and hospital as schedule allows)
Remote work possibility may be considered

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications

Licensed MD or DO from an accredited U.S. institution, or equivalent; if non-U.S. graduate, ABR eligibility or certification required; Colorado license by time of hire
Preferred Qualifications:
Subspecialty fellowship training
Experience collaborating with multiple clinical specialties
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Interpretation of radiology imaging studies and procedures
Competency in basic radiology procedures
