Full Time Assistant Store Manager (Store 3582) at GameStop. Supporting the Store Manager in all facets of store operations, with a focus on delivering best-in-class guest service and driving sales while supervising Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders in the absence of the Store Manager. Responsibilities

Provide best-in-class guest service: greet guests, respond to questions/concerns quickly and courteously, assist guests with gaming needs, inform guests of promotions, recommend additional items, apply selling behaviors during every transaction, and circulate throughout the store to prioritize guests over tasks. Support the visual and operational elements of the shopping environment, current sales initiatives, and guest relationships that lead to sales and repeat business. Process guest purchases/returns accurately using the POS system, including handling changes, providing receipts, and maintaining high guest service quality. Respond to guest comments or questions in person or by phone; escalate issues to the Store Manager when appropriate. Promote GameStop guest benefits (e.g., new title reservations program, trade-in program, Pro Rewards). Assist the Store Manager with setting guest service expectations for associates and training store staff on company policies and guidelines. Monitor associate performance, provide feedback, and address unsatisfactory performance as directed. Provide recognition and feedback to store associates and document performance in appropriate HR systems in partnership with the Store Manager. Ensure onboarding and training for associates prior to opening/closing shifts; maintain knowledge of policies, inventory control, loss prevention, safety, and ethical responsibilities. Schedule store associates in alignment with guidelines, manage breaks/meals, and supervise staffing to maintain high guest service levels. Approve payroll, manage paid time off and time edits, and verify accurate compensation for time worked. Keep store areas clean, organized, and merchandised per guidelines; ensure fixtures and equipment are in good working order. Fulfill Omni-Channel orders daily. Protect assets through inventory control and loss prevention practices; inspect packages at closing as needed and communicate concerns to the Store Manager. Support the team in meeting sales, profit, and shrink goals and complete administrative duties. Conduct inventory counts, restock merchandise, and maintain organized and alphabetized product presentation. Count, balance, and reconcile daily cash, closeout paperwork, and bank deposits per guidelines. Verify shipments for discrepancies, conduct inventories, and report issues to the Store Manager/District Manager. Handle defectives/recalls and stock pulls promptly with proper labeling and packing lists. Maintain associate and guest safety; address hazardous situations and report injuries per guidelines. Maintain store records/files and ensure manuals are up to date. Supervise and delegate tasks to Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders when the Store Manager is unavailable. Adhere to GameStop policies, including the Associate Handbook and Code of Standards, Ethics & Conduct. Follow opening and closing procedures. Qualifications

Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States. Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business/marketing/merchandising or related field preferred. At least 6 months of retail management experience preferred. At least 2 years of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred. Video game knowledge preferred. Clear verbal and written communication; English proficiency; bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and both independently and in a team. Meet performance expectations for attendance, appearance, safety, and respect in the workplace. Operate POS system; basic math and organizational skills. Complete required paperwork accurately and follow written or spoken instructions. Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and some holidays; minimum 3 days/week availability. Be reliable, trustworthy, and able to work alone; stand/walk for up to 12 hours; capable of lifting up to 30 lbs and other mobility tasks.
