Full Time Assistant Store Manager (Store 2693) at GameStop. The role supports the Store Manager in all facets of store operations and helps develop a sales culture by providing outstanding guest service and knowledge about products. Responsibilities

Provide best-in-class guest service: greet guests, respond to questions and concerns promptly and courteously, assist guests with gaming needs, inform guests of promotions, recommend additional items, apply selling behaviors during every transaction, and circulate throughout the store to prioritize guests over tasks. Support the total shopping environment, including visual and operational elements, current sales initiatives, and customer relationships that lead to sales and repeat business. Process guest purchases/returns accurately using the POS system, including correct changes, receipts, and packaging while maintaining high guest service standards. Respond to guest inquiries in person or by phone; escalate issues to the Store Manager when appropriate. Promote GameStop guest benefits and loyalty programs. Assist the Store Manager with setting guest service expectations and training store associates on company policies and guidelines. Observe associate performance, provide feedback to the Store Manager, and address unsatisfactory performance as directed. Provide recognition and feedback to associates; document feedback in the Workday/HR system in partnership with the Store Manager. Ensure onboarding, training, and compliance are completed before associates open or close shifts; ensure knowledge of policies, inventory control, loss prevention, safety, and ethics. Schedule associates to follow guidelines, manage staffing levels for optimal guest service, and supervise in the Store Manager’s absence. Approve payroll, manage time off requests, and verify accurate payment for time worked. Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and merchandising per guidelines; ensure fixtures and equipment function properly. Fulfill Omni-Channel orders and ensure daily shipping. Protect assets through inventory control and loss prevention, inspect packages at closing as appropriate, and report concerns to the Store Manager. Assist in meeting sales, profit, and shrink goals and complete required administrative duties. Perform stock counts, restock merchandise, and ensure products are organized and visible on the floor. Balance daily transactions in the POS system; manage closeout paperwork and ensure enough cash on hand; make daily deposits as required. Verify shipments for discrepancies; conduct inventories and communicate issues to management. Process defectives/recalls and stock pulls accurately; label boxes with packing lists. Maintain guest and associate safety; report injuries per guidelines. Maintain store records and ensure manuals are up to date. Supervise and delegate tasks to Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders in the Store Manager’s absence. Adhere to GameStop policies and procedures and opening/closing procedures. Qualifications

Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States; age 18+ High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or bachelor's preferred At least 6 months of retail management experience preferred At least 2 years of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred Video game knowledge preferred Key Skills & Abilities

Outgoing, welcoming personality with strong people skills Provide genuine, individualized guest assistance Clear verbal and written communication; English proficiency; bilingual English/Spanish preferred Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and independently or as part of a team Reliable, trustworthy, with good judgment Able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and some holidays (minimum 3 days/week) Physical ability to stand, move, and lift up to 30 lbs; ability to bend and reach Onboarding knowledge of store policies and military base positions knowledge (where applicable) Job descriptions are subject to change.
