Apply Keck Medicine of USC Hospital Alhambra, California As an integrated part of the department, this position provides coordination of office flow and activities. Offers support in coordinating and maintaining files and data activities efficiently. Provides clerical support to the department staff. The Office Coordinator supports multiple divisions within the Patient Accounting Department by performing general business office tasks, including reviewing mail, processing medical record requests, maintaining patient account updates (PBAR, Aeos, Cerner, claims editor), coordinating refunds, invoicing non-industry trial claims, creating new accounts, tracking denials, and vendor management. Essential Duties Validate and complete daily tasks accurately and timely. Use initiative to resolve problems, document issues, and follow through. Complete assigned tasks independently with minimal supervision. Assist others and adapt to workload changes. Communicate effectively with respect and cooperation. Meet operational goals, including timely correspondence processing. Support vendor relations and problem-solving. Perform additional duties as assigned. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. At least 2 years of clerical experience, preferably in a hospital setting. Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, able to multitask. Customer service skills, including problem resolution and patient satisfaction. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with medical terminology. Knowledge of office equipment and basic computer skills (Word, Excel). Required Licenses/Certifications Fire Life Safety Training (LA City); must obtain within 30 days if not already held. The hourly rate range is $25.00 - $39.69. USC considers various factors when extending employment offers, including experience, education, skills, and market considerations.
