Job Description The Sales Associate role is an integral part of the store’s overall success and efficiency, focusing on servicing customers and driving results. Upholds Coach’s Service and Selling Models, creates a positive first impression, builds ongoing customer relationships through a personalized experience, and leaves a lasting impression.

Sales Floor Responsibilities

Understands organizational objectives and makes decisions aligned with Company priorities.

Delivers results while monitoring personal and store metrics; develops personal sales and clienteling strategies with management.

Ccreates short- and long-term strategies to achieve personal metrics and performance goals.

Implements plans to improve survey results and address opportunities.

Represents Coach as a brand ambassador and demonstrates Selling and Service expectations at all times.

Understands local market changes and supports local sales strategies and tactics.

Drives business through sales strategies, clienteling, sourcing new customers, and maintaining productive relationships.

Provides product knowledge, including features, benefits, current offerings, and overall value; communicates current pricing and promotions.

Cross-sells and suggests add-ons relevant to the customer’s needs.

Listens to customer cues, attends to individual shopping needs, and manages multiple customers simultaneously.

Follows up with customers to influence/close sales; adapts selling techniques to contribute to store financial results.

Builds lasting relationships and uses Coach’s tools to support clienteling efforts.

Promotes a team selling environment and fosters teamwork and collaboration with internal and external customers.

Maintains calm, professional demeanor and remains solution oriented in changing business conditions.

Operations

Ensures all daily tasks are completed without negatively impacting service or standards.

Performs daily tasks on the sales floor and backroom, including cash wrap and visual merchandising to Coach standards.

Maintains clean and organized selling floor; adheres to retail policies and procedures (POS, Operations, Asset Protection).

Replenishes inventory on the sales floor; supports store inventory process (shipment processing, stocking, replenishment).

Supports cash-wrap as needed for purchases, returns, and exchanges; processes transactions efficiently.

Prepares the store by organizing functional areas, performing routine cleaning, and maintaining visual merchandising standards.

Qualifications

Experience: 1–3 years of prior sales experience, preferably in a luxury retail environment. Knowledge of fashion trends and competition.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.

Technical: Knowledge of cash register systems; basic computer skills (iPad/laptop), Mobile POS, and Internet; able to read price and product release sheets.

Physical: Ability to work at a fast pace; mobility to move around the selling floor and stockroom; ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds for shipments.

Schedule: Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays during high retail traffic.

Benefits and Pay Base pay range: $16.66 to $17.25 hourly. General description of benefits includes: medical, dental, vision, Life and Disability insurance, 401(k) plan, paid time off for wellness and vacations. Additional compensation may include product discounts and incentive pay.
