These services promote strong families by empowering parents to thrive, thereby creating communities where parents have the skills to raise healthy and successful children. Objective and Position Summary The Family Resource Liaison provides supportive services to families in a community-based setting on an as-needed basis. This flexible role is designed to step in when additional support is required for program operations, outreach, or family services. The Family Resource Liaison helps ensure a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment for families while promoting positive parent-child interactions and connections to resources. Responsibilities
Provide supervised visitation services, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for children and families. Support the FRC team with community-based services, including classes, workshops, support groups, and interactive activities, when scheduled. Participate in community outreach efforts such as resource fairs, family engagement events, and other activities as needed. Provide information and referrals to families to connect them with community resources that promote healthy child development and family resiliency. Assist with administrative tasks, including data entry, scheduling, documentation, and communication with families and partners, as assigned. Attend meetings, trainings, and other FRC activities as requested on an on-call basis. Encourage positive, meaningful parent-child interactions, supporting parents in building confidence and advocacy for their families. Administering hearing and vision screenings and providing developmental and related screenings. Primary Duties And Essential Functions
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. On-Call Availability: Respond to requests for coverage with flexibility, sometimes with short notice, including evenings and weekends. Family Support: Encourage positive and meaningful parent-child interactions during supervised visits and family engagement activities. Community Engagement: Represent the FRC at events and meetings to strengthen community connections and promote services. Confidentiality & Professionalism: Maintain the highest standards of privacy, discretion, and respect in working with families and community partners. Team Collaboration: Work cooperatively with FRC staff, supervisors, and community partners to support overall program success. Adaptability: Provide support in varied settings and adjust to different family and program needs as they arise. Minimum Qualifications And Competencies
Education/Background High School Diploma or GED and two years of related experience Experience working with children and families preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends, depending on program needs Willingness to work on an on-call basis with short notice at times Experience in family support coordination or resource navigation services preferred Must be at least 21 years of age Level One Fingerprint clearance or ability to obtain fingerprint clearance within 60 days of employment Complete CPR and First Aid certifications within 90 days of hire and maintain the certifications Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills to promote clear understanding Bilingual in English and Spanish desirable (will consider other languages) Benefits
