Overview

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking an LPN Medication Care Manager. The role is responsible for providing the highest degree of quality care and services by administering medication and treatments in a safe, organized manner, in accordance with laws, standards, and Sunrise policies. Responsibilities & Qualifications

SHIFT: 11PM-7AM Essential Duties

Medication Administration: Provide quality care by administering medication and treatments in a safe, organized manner; document medication administration; review and initial electronic health records; receive updates from RCD or Wellness Nurse; administer and observe medications using the MAR and the Six Rights of Medication Pass; ensure timing using a mobile medication cart; document refusals or missed doses; maintain confidentiality of resident information; report concerns and unavailable medications; restock medication carts; assist in checking medications; assess residents for as-needed medications and document appropriately; count narcotics with another MCM or LCM and report discrepancies; maintain and clean medication rooms, carts, and treatment carts; follow re-fill process; promote independence and dignity; adhere to Sunrise Principles of Service; demonstrate empathy in interactions; maintain standard infection control practices; audit medication carts. Resident Care: Notify RCD of concerns; attend daily Cross Over meetings; conduct Service and Health Updates as directed; participate in ISP development; transcribe orders. Risk Management & General Safety: Ensure compliance with regulations; promote risk management and safety; report accidents and unsafe conditions; keep hazards/core equipment out of walkways; comply with infection control and disposal procedures; manage exposure to bloodborne pathogens and hazardous materials; ensure oxygen tanks are stored safely. Training & Team Contribution: Participate as a team member; uphold Credo and Principles of Service; engage in team member engagement activities; attend meetings and training; may be designated shift supervisor or supervise other MCMs; maintain required trainings and Sunrise standards; perform other duties as assigned. Core Competencies: Able to make resident-centered decisions, stay calm under pressure, handle multiple priorities, communicate effectively, and use good judgment. Experience and Qualifications

LPN, LVN, or state/provincial licensed nurse credential Maintain required certifications (e.g., CPR, First Aid) as applicable Must be at least 18 years old Previous experience with seniors preferred; desire to serve and care for seniors If driving a Sunrise vehicle, may need to sign the Driver job description and adhere to safety/regulatory requirements About Sunrise
