Assistant Girls Soccer Coach

PURPOSE OF JOB : Provide instruction, leadership, and supervision to middle school students participating in the sports program. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Assist with practices by emphasizing teamwork, skill development, learning rules and strategies, and student-athlete improvement. Assist with academic monitoring in collaboration with teachers, counselors, and other support staff. Supervise student-athletes before, during, and after practices and contests, including in locker rooms, on buses, and at all times. Be present at all practices and games, arriving on time and remaining until all student-athletes have left. Take responsibility for the care of equipment and inventory. Complete all required paperwork such as rosters, physicals, insurance forms, and parent consent forms. Coordinate transportation, facilities, officials, and game management information. Maintain ethical conduct during practices and contests, exemplifying high standards of sportsmanship. Assist in program coordination. Promote student-athletes' academic and athletic achievements. Engage in professional development through clinics and publications. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES : Student-athletes MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : Must hold a Teacher's Certificate, valid Substitute Certificate, or Temporary (provisional) Teacher’s Certificate. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS : Be a full- or part-time employee in the District. Be employed as a teacher or administrator within the school applying for the position.
