Overview
We’re looking for a seasoned Accounting Controller to join our client’s team in Corona, CA. This is a high-impact, on-site role for an experienced accounting professional who thrives on structure, accuracy, and collaboration. You’ll oversee all financial operations—from reporting and compliance to budgeting and strategic planning—while helping drive efficiency and growth across the organization. What You’ll Do
Oversee daily accounting functions, including A/P, A/R, payroll, and general ledger management Prepare monthly construction draw packages (AIA G702/703), lien releases, and supporting documentation Manage month-end and year-end closes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting Develop, analyze, and interpret financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to support leadership decisions Strengthen internal controls and ensure GAAP compliance and adherence to company policies Lead financial audits and coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors Partner with leadership to optimize financial performance and strategic growth initiatives Mentor and develop accounting team members, fostering accountability and professional growth What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA preferred 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role Proven expertise in construction accounting and project-based financials Strong working knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and compliance Proficiency in Sage 300, Procore, Textura, or RealPage preferred Advanced Excel skills and strong command of Microsoft Office Suite Exceptional analytical, communication, and leadership skills Why This Role
