Overview
HDR
is seeking civil, structural, geotechnical and hydraulic engineers to provide project, geographic and technical leadership in HDR’s dam, levee and flood resilience programs.
HDR
is employee-owned and highly rated by ENR for Dams and Reservoirs and Hydropower. Our globally coordinated, locally delivered program aims to improve resiliency, sustainability, and safety of communities as dams, levees and flood control systems are upgraded to adapt to a changing climate and growing water needs. HDR engineers are leading the way on complex dam, levee and flood resilience projects.
Responsibilities
Provide project leadership, geographic leadership and technical leadership in HDR’s dam, levee and flood resilience programs.
Serve as engineers of record, group managers and technical practice leaders with expertise in complex dam, levee and flood resilience management projects.
Apply knowledge of potential failure mode analysis (PFMA) to project work as the program grows.
Collaborate with HDR teams across locations and remote work to deliver solutions.
Support expansion into new locations and opportunities near your location, with relocation optional.
Qualifications
Civil, structural, geotechnical or hydraulic engineers with the ability to serve as engineers of record and to lead multidisciplinary dam and flood resilience projects.
Demonstrated or interest in potential failure mode analysis (PFMA) and risk-informed design.
Familiarity with tools and topics including PLAXIS, SLOPE, SEEP, APILE, LPILE, FEMA, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, seepage analysis, stability modeling and related dam safety and flood management concepts.
Ability to work in a flexible environment and to relocate or consider opportunities near your location.
