Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior General Ledger Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This role is critical in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the organization’s financial operations. The ideal candidate will be a proactive team player with strong analytical skills, advanced Excel proficiency, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This position requires working on-site full-time, with the flexibility to work extended hours during month-end close periods. Base pay range
$100,000.00/yr - $115,000.00/yr Additional compensation types
Annual Bonus Responsibilities
Perform complex reconciliations, accruals, and allocations to ensure accurate financial records. Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP/IFRS. Support external audits by preparing schedules and addressing auditor inquiries. Process journal entries, including accruals, to support timely and accurate month-end close. Manage bank reconciliations and fixed asset accounting. Oversee accounts payable processes, 1099 preparation, and sales tax reporting. Prepare personal property tax renditions. Identify opportunities to enhance accounting processes and systems for improved efficiency and accuracy. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial reporting and operational goals. Leverage automation tools or process improvement initiatives to streamline workflows. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a focus on financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close processes. Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Microsoft Dynamics and Power BI is a plus. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, both verbal and written. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Self-motivated and driven, with a demonstrated sense of urgency and flexibility for overtime during peak periods. Experience with external audits and process improvement initiatives is highly desirable. Big 4 accounting experience is a plus. Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to contribute to areas beyond core responsibilities. Seniority level
