Acrisure is seeking a
Manager – Corporate Accounting
to join the team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This role leads critical components of the corporate accounting close process for a large, complex fintech organization, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of consolidated financial reporting while driving process improvements, standardization, and scalability. The Manager will partner with global accounting teams, FP&A, tax, treasury, and external auditors, reporting to the Corporate Controller. The position requires a strong technical accounting background, leadership skills, and the ability to operate in a high-growth, dynamic environment. Responsibilities
Lead and oversee key components of the monthly, quarterly, and annual corporate financial close processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal policies. Support the preparation and review of consolidated financial statements, supporting schedules, and disclosures. Drive continuous improvements in close efficiency by leveraging automation, systems, and standardized processes across global entities. Collaborate with operational accounting teams to ensure alignment on policies, reconciliations, and reporting requirements. Support internal and external audits by preparing audit-ready documentation and ensuring SOX/internal control compliance. Develop, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of accounting professionals. Partner cross-functionally with Finance, FP&A, Treasury, Tax, and Operations on close, reporting, and strategic initiatives. Serve as a key liaison to external auditors and coordinate quarterly reviews and annual audits. Contribute to special projects, including system implementations, process transformation, and scaling initiatives aligned with company growth. Requirements
Required Qualifications
Strong understanding of internal controls, SOX compliance, and audit requirements. Proven track record of driving process improvements and leveraging technology to streamline accounting operations (ERP, consolidation tools). Excellent leadership, people management, and team development skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. High attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Preferred Qualifications
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Professional, organized, and strong communicator. Self-motivated and driven with a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines. Strong time management and prioritization skills; attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Ability to multitask, work independently, and handle sensitive information with discretion. Maintains a professional demeanor and positive attitude. Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA required. 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including people and process management. Public accounting (Big 4 or equivalent) and/or large global public company experience strongly preferred. Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, consolidation, and financial reporting; IFRS experience a plus. Candidates should be comfortable with an on-site presence to support collaboration, team leadership, and cross-functional partnership. Benefits
