Overview

Manager – Corporate Accounting. Location: Grand Rapids, Michigan. Acrisure is a global fintech leader providing solutions across insurance, reinsurance, payroll, benefits, cybersecurity, mortgage services, and more. The role leads critical components of the corporate accounting close process for a large, complex fintech organization, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of consolidated financial reporting while driving process improvements and standardization to support growth. Reports directly to the Corporate Controller and partners with global accounting teams, FP&A, tax, treasury, and external auditors. A strong technical accounting background, leadership skills, and the ability to navigate a high-growth environment are required. Responsibilities

Lead and oversee key components of the monthly, quarterly, and annual corporate financial close processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal policies. Support the preparation and review of consolidated financial statements, supporting schedules, and disclosures. Drive continuous improvements in accounting close efficiency through automation, systems, and standardized processes across global entities. Collaborate with operational accounting teams to ensure alignment on policies, reconciliations, and reporting requirements. Support internal and external audits by preparing audit-ready documentation and ensuring SOX/internal control compliance. Develop, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of accounting professionals. Partner cross-functionally with Finance, FP&A, Treasury, Tax, and Operations on close, reporting, and strategic initiatives. Serve as a key liaison to external auditors, coordinating quarterly reviews and annual audits smoothly. Contribute to special projects, including system implementations and process transformation aligned with company growth. Requirements

Required Qualifications

Strong understanding of internal controls, SOX compliance, and audit requirements. Proven track record of driving process improvements and leveraging technology to streamline accounting operations (ERP, consolidation tools). Excellent leadership, people management, and team development skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. High attention to detail and ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Preferred Qualifications

Strong time management, prioritization, and discretion with sensitive information. Professional demeanor and positive attitude; ability to multitask and work independently. Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA (required). 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, with people and process management experience. Public accounting (Big 4, national or regional) and/or large global public company experience preferred. Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, consolidation, and financial reporting; IFRS experience a plus.
