The Engineer III, Systems is responsible for the design, implementation, and management of complex systems that support Concentra's IT infrastructure. This role involves configuring and optimizing server environments, ensuring high availability and performance of applications. Engineers conduct regular system audits to identify vulnerabilities and implement necessary security measures to protect sensitive data. Additionally, they troubleshoot system issues, perform root cause analysis, and develop solutions to prevent future occurrences. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential for successful project deployments and integrations. Responsibilities

System Design and Architecture.

Design, implement, and maintain complex systems architecture. Evaluate system performance, ensure scalability, integrate new technologies, develop detailed specifications, conduct feasibility studies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align with business objectives. Troubleshoot and optimize existing architectures for improved efficiency. Systems Configuration and Management.

Configure, deploy, and maintain server environments; install operating systems; apply patches; manage user accounts; monitor and troubleshoot to ensure optimal performance. Implement security measures to protect server data and integrate systems with other IT teams. Configure, administer, and maintain Cloud and IT Subscription environments (e.g., Microsoft 365, Azure, Citrix, AWS). Performance Monitoring and Optimization.

Monitor system performance metrics, analyze data to identify bottlenecks, configure parameters, conduct regular assessments, and troubleshoot to ensure optimal operation. Collaborate with development teams to enhance application performance and ensure infrastructure meets current and future workloads. Security Implementation and Audits.

Implement security protocols, conduct audits to ensure compliance with standards, manage access controls, monitor performance, document security processes, and train team members on best practices. Troubleshooting System Issues.

Diagnose and resolve complex system issues across platforms; analyze logs; perform root cause analysis; document troubleshooting processes and solutions; collaborate with cross-functional teams to minimize downtime. Documentation of System Processes.

Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of system processes, SOPs, diagrams, and configuration management records; ensure accuracy and alignment with standards and policies; review documentation regularly. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams.

Work with software development, network operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration of systems and applications; participate in design meetings and document knowledge for the team. Backup and Disaster Recovery Planning.

Design, implement, and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions; configure schedules; test recovery; monitor backups for performance and troubleshoot failures to minimize downtime. System Upgrades and Patch Management.

Plan, test, and implement upgrades and patches; evaluate new releases; coordinate with vendors; ensure compatibility; monitor post-upgrade performance and provide support. User Access Management and Support.

Manage user access based on role requirements; configure accounts; monitor access logs; audit permissions; provide support for access issues; implement multi-factor authentication as needed. Qualifications

Education : Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field from an accredited college or university. Experience

(8+ years): Microsoft Windows Server OS systems engineering; administering Active Directory (forests, trusts, GPOs, DNS, AD FS). Linux OS configuration; Microsoft 365 tenant administration including migrations and Entra ID/Exchange/Intune/Teams/Apps. Hybrid Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange environments; Citrix DaaS administration (machine catalogs, delivery groups, session policies, Storefront). Scripting: PowerShell, Python, Bash or similar; monitoring tools (e.g., Dynatrace, PRTG, SolarWinds). Cloud: Azure, Microsoft 365; experience with AWS and Google Cloud a plus; automation and scripting for deployment. Security, backups, disaster recovery, and documentation practices; strong customer service, attention to detail, initiative, and sense of urgency.
