We are seeking an experienced
Electrical Engineer
to join the Engineering & Construction team of a leading LNG operator. This role will provide technical support to ongoing capital projects and ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
Support engineering and construction activities related to electrical systems for LNG facilities and infrastructure projects.
Provide design review, technical input, and troubleshooting for electrical equipment, including switchgear, transformers, MCCs, UPS systems, and grounding.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure alignment across mechanical, civil, and instrumentation scopes.
Interface with EPC contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to resolve technical queries.
Support project execution by reviewing drawings, specifications, and submittals.
Assist with field-related issues during construction, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
Contribute to project documentation, progress tracking, and reporting.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline required.
5+ years of electrical engineering experience, ideally in oil & gas, LNG, petrochemical, or heavy industrial projects.
Knowledge of relevant codes and standards (NEC, IEEE, API, NFPA, IEC).
Experience with EPC projects and contractor/vendor coordination.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Details
Contract role expected to last 4–6 months.
Based in the Westchase area of Houston.
9/80 work schedule (with every other Friday off).
