Radiation Oncologist to function as Clinical Director . The OSUCCC James is a large, nationally recognized academic medical center with a history of leadership in cancer care. Academic rank and track will be commensurate with academic record and experience. Position Overview

The

Clinical Director

reports directly to the Chair of the Department via the Vice Chair of Clinical Operations. The Clinical Director has oversight responsibility for all activities in the Radiation Oncology Department, including clinical services at the main campus and breast center, quality of care, resource utilization, protocol and practice guideline development and review, and supervision of Residents and Fellows to ensure education and training aligns with activity levels. The Clinical Director will ensure the program meets accreditation and regulatory standards of Joint Commission, HIPAA, OSHA, and other accrediting or regulatory bodies as appropriate, while fostering collaboration across clinical, research, and administrative teams. This position also represents the department in institutional and external engagements and drives initiatives to advance patient outcomes, faculty development, and program excellence. In the role as Physician-Clinical, the individual will provide licensed medical care including diagnosis, treatment (including surgical or pre/post-surgical care where appropriate), case management and clinical research. The Physician manages complex and sometimes unpredictable situations and must be competent in technical, clinical and surgical skills (where appropriate), cognitive and interpersonal abilities to serve patients receiving the above services. The Physician is expected to practice within established Medical Center standards (policies, procedures, protocols) and align with key result areas of the Medical Center. Department Overview
