Job Description Professional level sales position capable of supporting advanced functions on the commercial side of the business. The role is responsible for profitable growth of the commercial business via customer retention and growth. It partners with the GM to manage team members and requires expert knowledge of automotive systems and parts. The ability to source from various channels including special orders, FDO, and second sources is essential. The role also involves directing drivers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries. This is a full-time position.
Primary Responsibilities
Maintain commercial customer relationships
Provide GAS2 selling experience to commercial customers
Achieve personal and store sales goals and service objectives
Support daily supervision of team members
Collaborate with GM on coaching and development of team members
Dispatch drivers to meet delivery standards
Maintain commercial stocking programs
Build and maintain a network of second source suppliers
Secondary Responsibilities
Maintain core bank and commercial returns
Manage commercial credit accounts
Partner with GM for driver coverage
Success Factors
Friendly communication skills
Ability to locate and stock parts efficiently
Safety knowledge and skills
Proficiency with inventory systems and store equipment
Parts and automotive system knowledge
Operating POS and parts lookup systems
ASE P2 certification or equivalent
Advanced solution and product recommendation skills
Multi-channel sourcing ability
Advanced selling skills for commercial clients
Organizational skills and ability to multi-task
Essential Job Skills
Knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostics
Effective communication in English (Spanish is a plus)
Ability to interpret safety rules, manuals, and catalogs
Complete Parts Knowledge Assessment successfully
Basic math skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
Understanding of commercial profitability and market dynamics
Flexibility to work days, evenings, and weekends
Prior Experience Minimum of 3 years in automotive parts sales preferred. Proven sales ability and team leadership experience are advantageous.
Education High school diploma or GED required.
Certificates and Licenses ASE Certification is preferred but not mandatory.
Physical Demands Ability to walk, stand, lift up to 50 pounds regularly, and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds. Must have good vision and physical dexterity.
Work Environment Primarily inside, with occasional outside work exposed to weather, mechanical parts, chemicals, and noise. Safety precautions are necessary.
This position is eligible for sales commissions based on performance.
Compensation Range $21.95 - $24.15 per hour.
