Base pay range $80,000.00/yr - $95,000.00/yr
My client is seeking a skilled Project Engineer to provide technical support for a variety of projects across the chemical plant, including developing and running capital expansion projects.
Responsibilities
Managing capital projects from design and planning through execution, commissioning, and turnover
Overseeing initiatives focused on capacity expansion, efficiency, cost reduction, and improvements in safety, compliance, quality, and reliability
Handling multiple projects with shared resources and budgets ranging from $1MM to $5MM+
Promoting safety awareness and expectations among internal teams and external partners
Providing technical support for operational troubleshooting and assisting with new product and process development
Supporting technical safety efforts based on shifting priorities
Coordinating team activities to meet project execution, completion, and turnover goals
Creating and updating standard operating procedures, including developing process control algorithms
Participating in operator training as needed to support successful implementation
Profile
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical) or a related field
2-5 years of project management experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred)
Prior experience in chemical processing (required)
Strong understanding of heat transfer, fluid flow, pumping, piping, and instrumentation
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver formal presentations to senior management
Hands-on approach with the ability to build rapport across operations, maintenance, utilities, and analytical teams
Practical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and controls engineering disciplines, as well as environmental and regulatory standards
Familiarity with engineering standards such as ASME, API, and UL (preferred)
Comfort working with industrial distributed control systems (DCS) and human-machine interfaces (HMI)
