Overview
Automotive Store Manager at Monro, Inc. The Store Manager provides daily leadership to all positions within the store, including General Service Technicians, Technicians, Guest Care Specialists, and Assistant Store Manager. The Store Manager reports to the District Manager and is responsible for day-to-day leadership, coaching, and development of store teammates, and for promoting Monro’s vision of quality automotive service and tires in the guests’ neighborhoods. Responsibilities
Develop sales and technical teammates to produce a consistent 5-star guest experience. Ensure sales goals are achieved by developing and implementing sales plans and maintaining thorough knowledge of services, products, and the automotive industry. Introduce tire and service products to guests to maximize sales and guest satisfaction and loyalty. Support teammates in establishing and maintaining a productive sales environment by training and developing in shop operations and guest services. Provide direction and oversight to technicians and assist where needed with services/repairs. Ensure the store is effectively staffed by managing recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, and development of teammates. Control expenses through payroll, store maintenance and repairs, supplies, utilities, and other controllable costs. Responsible for inventory management, including pulling tires and parts, unloading and stocking inventory. Audit courtesy inspections performed by teammates and ensure store is maintained to Monro standards of cleanliness and guest readiness. Schedule guest appointments and assign teammates based on skill level to ensure timely completion of vehicle services and repairs. Inform and recommend tire and service products and promotions to achieve Monro’s sales goals. Attend to guest needs in sales, service, complaints, and adjustments; build guest relationships to maximize satisfaction, loyalty, and retention. Convey repair and service needs to guests effectively. Understand and adhere to company policies and safety standards, including government regulations and ANSI/OSHA standards; ensure consistent safety training and procedures. Maintain technical knowledge and complete Monro University training modules to stay proficient. Operate, utilize, and maintain equipment safely (e.g., lifts, welders, brake lathes) according to guidelines. Perform other duties as assigned and required. Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent. Demonstrated leadership experience in a retail/sales environment. Proven ability to manage, drive, and deliver financial results while controlling costs. Ability to influence and motivate a team to achieve goals. Ability to problem solve, manage inventory, merchandising, and customer service. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with teammates and guests. Complete all Monro required training within guidelines and timing provided. Must possess a current valid driver’s license and have a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR). Monro conducts background checks for positions with security and/or financial responsibilities. Background checks are conducted in accordance with applicable law; no applicant is automatically disqualified due to a criminal record. Compensation potential for this position is 60k to 80K+ based on experience, bonus opportunities, sales spiffs, regional contests, and other sales incentives. Additionally, compensation potential is 70K+ based on experience, bonus opportunities, sales spiffs, regional contests, and other sales incentives. Work Environment
Automotive shop environment with exposure to typical shop conditions. Flexible hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for extended periods. Adherence to safety standards and use of equipment in accordance with guidelines. Benefits
