This is a full-time Clinical Staff Pharmacist role working in the Operating Room. The shift is Monday through Friday rotating shifts with hours including 6am - 2:30pm, 7am - 3:30pm, and 10am - 6:30pm. Schedule is subject to change based on hospital needs. Benefits

Required Education: Bachelor of Science (BS) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) Experience: 1 year of pharmacy experience (English proficiency: speaking, reading, writing) Licenses and Certifications: Eligible for licensure by Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP) on hire; Texas license with TSBP within 30 days; ACPE-IV Sterile Compounding certification; BLS certification on hire; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required for inpatient positions within 180 days Preferred Experience: 1 year of pharmacy experience (note: this reiterates the minimum; please verify if distinct from required) Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Basic computer skills and data entry English proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing Good general health and stress coping ability Moderate physical effort: standing/walking for extended periods, occasional lifting up to 25 lbs, reaching, bending, crouching Physical Demands/Working Conditions

Perform duties in accordance with organizational and departmental policies, procedures, performance improvement objectives, and infection control standards, as well as state and federal laws Enter orders and review medication profiles for accuracy and safety; consider patient charges Review medication orders for therapeutic appropriateness, interactions, duplications, and effectiveness; document interventions Multitask, problem-solve independently, and provide direction when needed; cross-train to maintain competency in multiple areas Enforce formulary policy; participate in cost-effective use and selection of pharmaceuticals Communicate drug information to physicians, nurses, and patients; assist in patient/family education and counseling; document clinical activities and cost savings; support patient satisfaction Manage technicians and supportive personnel; delegate tasks; audit controlled substances per guidelines; investigate discrepancies Participate in educational programs, onboarding, and additional projects as needed Participate in clinical program; support P&T initiatives; monitor target drugs; collect data and communicate improvement opportunities; perform therapeutic monitoring and dosage adjustments as needed Some duties may involve direct patient care or related healthcare record activities Performs other duties as assigned Security and EEO Statement
