Content Marketing Manager (Remote US) at Directive. The role focuses on crafting content strategies, managing client deliverables, and driving performance through SEO, content, and related marketing disciplines for B2B tech and SaaS clients. What You'll Do
Strategic Excellence and Best Practices: Create custom strategies and implement best practices to achieve client NSMs. Build initial client strategy from project phases and optimize over the client lifecycle using Directive best practices. Collaborate with Associate Directors when roadblocks arise. Content Campaigns and Briefs: Craft creative briefs and content campaigns based on competitor and audience insights. Strategic Frameworks: Apply best practices including LTV:CAC modeling, Customer Generation, SERP Share, and Content Production. Goal Setting: Use data to set client goals, reviewed and approved by the Associate Director in meetings. Data Sources: Google Analytics, CRM data, SEMRush, and Ahrefs reporting. Project Management: Ensure strategy execution with clear task ownership using Asana; delegate to Specialists and clients; coordinate with Project Managers when present; work with writers and designers to deliver content on time and to quality standards. Communication: Act as the primary interface with clients and internal teams; proactively communicate timelines, progress, and deliverables; escalate roadblocks and growth opportunities to internal leadership. Reporting: Regularly report progress and impact with a cadence of bi-weekly client meetings, monthly, quarterly reports, and bi-annual business reviews. What You'll Bring
Proven track record implementing SEO principles and content strategy: keyword research, on-page optimization, and link building. Analytical insights: ability to analyze website traffic and SEO metrics using Google Analytics and related tools. Strong communication skills: comfortable with client-facing relationships and stakeholder management. Familiarity with industry tools: Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMRush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, etc. Strong organizational, project, and time management skills. Genuine enthusiasm for digital marketing, SEO, and content. Must have agency experience. Must have B2B tech and/or SaaS experience. Goals
NSM Attainment: 100% MRR Retention: 96% CSAT > 4.2 Upsells / Cross-sells / Referrals Regularly identify opportunities for client growth with Directive (e.g., expanding service lines or boosting budgets) and pursue referrals at key moments. What We Offer
