The Position This is a fast-paced production role responsible for creating complex proposals and presentations of the highest quality from concept to final execution across various formats under tight deadlines. The ideal candidate is responsible, detail-oriented, collaborative, precise, and possesses excellent communication skills. Responsibilities include maintaining opportunity lists, conducting research in multiple categories, supporting business development communications, and other tasks supporting SHoP's BD and marketing efforts. Proficiency in InDesign is essential, as daily use is required. The role involves creating diverse documents, from formal institutional proposals to visual narratives, and maintaining or refining systems and materials that support the firm’s work. Candidates should have a deep understanding of architecture and industry business development processes. Applicants must be based in the New York City area, as work will be conducted in SHoP’s office with leadership. Primary Responsibilities • Research opportunities, markets, typologies, events, conferences, partners, and clients; synthesize and document information for strategic decisions. • Lead the production, writing, and strategy of proposals, presentations, qualifications, and similar documents, coordinating with SHoP's Senior Graphic Designer to ensure brand standards. • Maintain current proposal assets and systems to improve efficiency. • Track opportunities and contacts using the CRM system. • Collaborate with SHoP's Business Development team and leadership on related tasks. Professional Qualifications • At least three years of relevant experience • Familiarity with proposal assembly and production • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, and familiarity with Open Asset and Google tools • Strong visual literacy, writing, editing, and communication skills Note : This is not an architectural or graphic design role and does not lead to employment in those fields.
