Account Manager – Grocery/Retail
Chicago, IL | $70-$75K Base + Bonus + Benefits Our client is a rapidly growing food distributor that has earned a reputation as a trusted partner to grocery retailers throughout the Midwest. With a collaborative, family-like culture and a strong record of expansion, they’re looking for an Account Manager to manage grocery relationships, ensure merchandising standards, and help grow the company’s presence in Chicago. Build and maintain strong relationships with retail grocery buyers and store managers. Ensure product placement, merchandising, displays, and promotions are executed flawlessly. Coordinate with merchandisers and delivery teams to maintain schedules. Analyze customer needs to identify sales opportunities and improve satisfaction. Address and resolve account issues quickly and proactively. Monitor competitive activity and provide insights to leadership. Consistently meet sales targets and expand account volume. What We’re Looking For
2+ years of account management or territory sales experience, preferably in CPG, food, or grocery distribution. Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a customer-focused mindset. Hands-on experience in merchandising and retail execution. Highly organized and able to manage multiple accounts simultaneously. Bi-lingual (English/Arabic) a plus but not required.
