Responsibilities
Prepare, compound, and dispense medications under the Chief Pharmacist’s supervision.
Manage all aspects of site pharmacy operations: workflow, prescription processing, inventory management, financial profitability, payroll, and security.
Document quality control, safety reports, and support effective, safe operations.
Collaborate with pharmacy personnel, physicians, and clinical staff to deliver safe, optimal drug therapy.
Work rotating shifts to meet patient and business needs.
Education / Certifications
Graduate of an accredited Pharmacy school; Pharm D or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required.
Registered Pharmacist in Massachusetts with an active, unrestricted license from the MA Board of Pharmacy.
Complete 20 Continuing Education (CE) credits per calendar year as required by the Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy.
Not listed on the LEIE database of excluded individuals or entities.
Immunization certified.
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required based on specialty.
Experience
Three years’ experience in a high‑volume retail pharmacy preferred.
Team‑oriented with excellent customer service, effective verbal and written communication, problem‑solving abilities, and strong interpersonal skills when interacting with patients and colleagues.
Drug Test All Pharmacy Department applicants (excluding Clinical Pharmacy) will be tested for drugs as part of the post‑job‑offer employment screening process. Any applicant who tests positive for illegal drug use will not be hired. While Atrius Health cannot force a candidate to take a drug test, refusing to take the test may result in a rescinded offer of employment.
