Overview
Our client is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) that has experience with employee relations and worker's compensation to join their team! The HRBP is responsible for supporting organizational effectiveness through proactive employee relations, talent management, compliance, and HR program execution. This role works closely with leaders, managers, and employees across the organization to foster engagement, ensure legal compliance, and implement HR best practices. Responsibilities
Advise and counsel managers and supervisors on personnel practices, policies, and employment laws. Create, organize, and maintain accurate employee files. Investigate HR issues including EEOC complaints, Wage and Hour, ADA, harassment, discrimination, and employee disputes; ensure timely, compliant resolutions. Represent the company in unemployment claims, review liability reports, and monitor program costs. Partner with leadership to identify and implement effective retention strategies and recognition programs. Conduct exit interviews, analyze employee engagement surveys, and support manager action planning. Assist with open enrollment, employee meetings, and other benefits-related processes. Lead new hire orientation, onboarding, and training in collaboration with business leaders. Plan and execute employee events that support company culture and engagement. Support audits, quality control, and compliance initiatives. Track and report HR metrics related to turnover, vacancies, and workforce effectiveness. Benchmark HR best practices through industry networking and apply improvements across the organization. Assist in the development and delivery of organizational development initiatives. Contribute to the design and implementation of tools to improve performance and efficiency. Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in Human Resources and employee relations. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field. Technical Skills:
HRIS experience required. Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Soft Skills:
Strong organizational and multitasking ability. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Strong problem-solving and execution skills. Environment: Primarily office-based with some exposure to non-temperature-controlled manufacturing and warehouse environments. Preferred Qualifications Previous HR experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment. Advanced degree in Human Resources or related field. Proficiency with performance management and learning management software; prior experience with Ceridian Dayforce HRIS. Professional certifications such as PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent. Bilingual: English and Spanish.
