Global Events Manager - Signature (Contract)

Base Pay Range $65.00/hr
Job Description We are looking for a dynamic, organized, and creative Events Manager passionate about events with a focus on innovation and delivery of attendee experiences as guiding principles.
In this contract role you will manage events in the Palo Alto Networks portfolio, specifically our Signature events. Travel 40‑50% is essential. The role reports to the Sr. Global Events Manager.
Your Impact - Key Responsibilities
Manage event planning and execution deliverables (e.g., giveaways, gamification, housing support, event invites and registration).
Provide on‑site operational support (registration desk, booth staffing, etc).
Support hospitality service at executive events (transportation, host services, food and beverage).
Manage speaker activities (training, scheduling, communication, virtual support).
Own budget management (purchase orders, spend tracking, expense mapping).
Project management: create, own, and adhere to timelines and templates.
Manage work streams and ensure tactical tasks (Asana tickets, workback plan, microsites, registration pages, meetings).
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
6–8 years of experience in Marketing or Marketing support, with event experience preferred.
Experience in software/cybersecurity marketing is a plus.
Excellent written and verbal skills.
Detail- and service‑oriented.
Creative, collaborative, and resourceful.
Proven passion for learning and growth.
Ability to multi‑task and prioritize in a fast‑paced environment.
Positive self‑starter.
Comfortable engaging with executives.
Experience managing budgets and invoices.
Compensation The hourly wage range is $60–$65 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience. The staffing agency, Magnit, offers Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401K benefits. This posting reflects hourly wage only.
Location & Duration
Location: Santa Clara, CA (Hybrid – 3 days per week onsite).
Duration: 12 months.
