Overview
We are looking for an X‑Ray Technologist for Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southwest Fort Worth. This role is full‑time, 40 hours, Monday through Thursday, 1:30 pm–12:00 am. A sign‑on bonus is available for new hires.
Responsibilities
Explain imaging procedures to patients and guardians before and during exams.
Image the correct anatomical area and pathology according to department protocols.
Assist radiologist with complex and invasive procedures using aseptic technique.
Process and manipulate images, analyze image quality, and troubleshoot or repeat procedures as needed.
Correctly send and transfer images to PACS.
Assess and recognize the patient’s emotional, physical, developmental, cognitive, and psychosocial conditions.
Operate, care for, and maintain equipment.
Prepare the room for examination (e.g., suction, oxygen, supplies).
Administer contrast media and other medications in accordance with medication‑administration guidelines.
Maintain equipment and room to sanitary standards between patients (injectors, table tops, floors).
Qualifications
Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology preferred; other graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology required upon hire.
1 year experience as X‑Ray Tech preferred; 1 year experience as Radiologic Technologist preferred.
CMRT – Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist (TDH or TMB) required upon hire.
ARRT – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists required upon hire.
BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support required (maintained quarterly).
Communication, computer, venipuncture skills.
