Job Description and Duties Under the direction of the Chief of Business Services, a Staff Services Manager I, the incumbent serves as the Records Retention Coordinator. Responsibilities include maintaining and organizing records in Room 1 and the records database, purchasing for Administration staff, developing and maintaining detailed reports, serving as the Administration property control liaison, and coordinating bulk IT equipment procurement for Administration. The incumbent will also act as backup to reception, mailroom, carpool, cashiering, and the District’s Executive Assistant.

Daily contact will be with District 1 and North Region employees, the public, and Caltrans personnel, contractors, vendors, engineering consultants, and the public. The incumbent must present a courteous, professional manner, exercise initiative and independence, and perform manual dexterity tasks including bending, stooping, kneeling, and moving material up to 20 pounds. Long periods of sitting and computer use are required. Problem solving, analysis, and reasoning are essential.
