Telecom Design Engineer (Data Centers)
Jacobs is seeking a Telecom Design Engineer (Data Centers) to join our team in the United States. The role will focus on designing low voltage systems for building projects—including security, fire alarm, voice, data, audio/visual, and other low voltage systems—while coordinating with other disciplines and clients.
Base salary range
$85,000.00/yr – $111,525.00/yr
Responsibilities As a Telecom Engineer, you’ll provide technical design of systems for building projects including security, fire alarm, voice, data, audio/visual, and other low voltage systems. Responsibilities include preparation of engineering drawings and specifications, conduct site visits, review technical documents, occasional customer contact and integration of Owner specific installation requirements with site specific applications. You will also learn from more senior team leaders and will be mentored.
Qualifications
Technical or Associates Degree from an accredited institution.
4 or more years of experience actively designing low voltage and communication systems for buildings.
Familiarity and demonstrated knowledge of ANSI/TIA and BICSI standards.
Experience with Revit software.
Self‑motivation to coordinate with other disciplines and clients as necessary.
Ideally, You'll Also Have
Credentials as an RCDD or working toward this title.
Electrical Engineering degree, or related discipline.
