Telecom Design Engineer (Data Centers)
– Jacobs Design low‑voltage and communication systems for building and data center projects. Work with clients, vendors, and cross‑disciplinary teams to deliver technical solutions that meet project requirements and industry standards. Base Pay Range
$85,000.00/yr – $111,525.00/yr Responsibilities
• Design and produce engineering drawings and specifications for security, fire alarm, voice, data, audio/visual, and other low voltage systems. • Conduct site visits, review technical documents, and coordinate installation requirements with client and vendor solutions. • Mentor junior team members and collaborate with other disciplines on concurrent projects. Qualifications
Technical or Associates Degree from an accredited institution. 4+ years of experience designing low voltage and communication systems for buildings. Familiarity with ANSI/TIA, BICSI standards. Experience with Revit software. Self‑motivation to coordinate with other disciplines and clients. Preferred Additional Credentials
RCDD certification or working toward title. Electrical Engineering degree or related discipline. Benefits
