Responsibilities
Providing quality support for employees with a high degree of customer satisfaction.
Serve as the subject matter expert on a broad portfolio of clinical applications and standard workflows, including cross-application integration.
Provide customer technical assistance support, including problem analysis and resolution, and documenting and tracking help desk contacts for follow-up and reporting.
Work with clinical systems users and leadership to analyze and clarify clinical systems, hardware, and clinical/operational workflow problems.
Complete application configuration and build to maintain system access, use, and provide tools for clinical teams and other system users.
Participate in process improvement or implementation teams as appropriate to represent Clinical Systems Information (CSI).
Develop or revise training documents, operational process toolkits, and curriculum for new functionality, upgrades, enhancements, and applications.
Facilitate efforts with vendors and other key stakeholders to identify and articulate clinical system limitations and capabilities that need to be considered as part of project planning and roll‑out.
Test implementation of new software, upgrades, and fixes to verify correct operations and detect errors, with a specific emphasis in the Epic system.
Provide on‑site support to staff for the successful implementation of new software applications and system upgrades at each Multnomah County site, with a specific emphasis in the Epic system.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree (or relevant education and experience).
Experience: One (1) to four (4) years of experience demonstrating the ability to perform the duties of the position.
Background investigation required.
Valid driver’s license required.
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year of increasingly responsible experience using Epic Systems software in a clinical or operational setting.
Working knowledge of implementation and support of Epic Systems Electronic Health Record or Practice Management software systems.
Basic knowledge of patient care clinical processes and workflows.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, management, external contacts, other agencies, and the general public.
Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve in a clinical or EHR setting.
Collaborate with clinic leadership and users to identify opportunities for efficiencies in clinic operations, clinical practice support, and improved health outcomes.
Ability to easily adapt to changing priorities and demonstrate close attention to details.
Assume project team responsibilities or sub‑projects as assigned.
Advanced written and oral communication skills, including the ability to speak in front of groups and to communicate in writing policies, procedures, memoranda, and training materials. Ability to operate and communicate effectively while under pressure is essential.
