Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager
We are seeking a dynamic
Environmental, Health, Safety & Security (EHS&S) Manager
to lead regulatory compliance and industrial safety for a major power plant. This is a 144MW, ULSK and natural gas fueled facility consisting of three LM6000 simple cycle combustion turbines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Environmental Compliance & Oversight
Ensure full compliance with federal, state (including CTDEEP), and local environmental regulations and permits.
Prepare and submit required reports and documentation to regulatory agencies.
Manage stormwater and wastewater sampling, RATA and stack testing, opacity readings (Method 9 or 22), and air quality programs.
Lead CEMS and StackVision data oversight and support NPDES discharge compliance.
Health & Safety Leadership
Implement and maintain site-wide health and safety programs aligned with OSHA and corporate standards.
Conduct safety training, audits, and incident investigations.
Coordinate annual respiratory and hearing testing, and ensure emergency readiness.
Promote a culture of accountability and proactive risk mitigation.
Train and develop staff and contractors on EHS responsibilities.
Manage EHS vendors and contractors.
Lead site MARSEC, TWIC, and terminal security compliance.
Support or act as the Facility Security Officer (FSO).
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field (or equivalent experience).
At least 5 years of EHS experience in power generation, heavy industrial, or utility sectors.
In-depth knowledge of OSHA, CT environmental regulations, and safety management systems.
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and safety documentation systems.
Preferred Credentials
Certified Safety Professional (CSP), CHMM, EIT, or PE.
Experience with CEMS, StackVision, SharePoint, and NERC/NERC CIP.
Familiarity with marine terminal operations, MARSEC compliance, or FSO designation.
Certification from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals or American Board of Industrial Hygiene.
Applicants must possess a
valid driver's license
and maintain a clean driving record, as this position requires occasional travel for company business.

Compensation Salary range is commensurate with experience, qualifications, and location, ranging from $84,800 to $155,500. Compensation may include bonuses, benefits, or equity.
