EDL Tech 1 - Procurement (H/F) - SAFRAN SEATS USA LLC Safran Seats is one of the leading manufacturers of aircraft seats for crew and passengers, delivering high-quality seating solutions worldwide. Responsibilities
Ensure all tooling, raw material and parts are defined, procured, and available to support program schedules for Customer Show Seats, PDR, CDR and DEV testing projects. Obtain materials and services at the lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability and urgency considerations. Monitor and communicate shortages to ensure parts are in process to support the build of Customer Show Seats, PDR, CDR and DEV testing projects. Drive program status to meet toll gates for each phase of new product launch, protect customer dates, and escalate to impacted functions if dates compress or violate the program schedule. Drive timely releases and rescheduling of manufacturing and release of purchase orders (MO & POs) to support Customer Show Seats, PDR, CDR and DEV testing projects. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Education & Qualification - Associates Degree or high school diploma or equivalent with 3 years of manufacturing related experience required. Work Experience - Prefer 1 year of planning or buying related experience in addition to education requirements. Professional Skills - Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); understanding of manufacturing and materials processes; ability to generate written communication and operate required office equipment; ability to read and review written communication; clear English communication (speech and hearing). Behavioral Skills - Good time management; team player with a positive outlook. Desirable - Drawing interpretation, MRP systems; understanding of MOs and POs. General Work Conditions
Physical Demands - Prolonged sitting and use of computers; finger dexterity for office equipment; bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting up to ~20 pounds. Work environment - Office setting with moderate noise. Travel
