Generate 2-D aircraft layouts from 3-D geometry Modify existing ACI, Config, and T&F Drawings; create new drawings as required Assist Marketing Department with Aircraft Layouts and other geometry as needed Provide Design and Drafting Support to Project Engineering Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications
Education & Qualification – Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Design, Engineering or Architecture. An Associate’s Degree in Design, Engineering, or Architecture is acceptable (minimum of 3 years related experience in lieu of an Associate degree) Work Experience – Technical knowledge plus additional 5 years of related experience with an Associate’s degree; plus additional 2 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree. Formal training in reviewing and interpreting Layout of Passenger Accommodations (LOPA) preferred. Formal training in AutoCAD required; formal training in ProEngineer and CATIA preferred Professional Skills – Expert in AutoCAD, with ability to use geometry from CATIA and ProEngineer; IGES, STEP, and .DXF sources. Thorough understanding of standard aircraft interior layout design practices and standards, including FAA Regulations and Airframer requirements. Strong written and verbal communication; ability to interface with Engineering, Program Management, Certification, and Manufacturing Behavioral Skills – Ability to work effectively within geographically dispersed and multicultural teams; strong relationship-building skills; comfortable with ambiguity, multiple tasks, and limited instruction; ability to interact with engineering, sales, and marketing groups Desirable Aspects – Experience in aircraft interiors environment and applicable OEM specifications and regulations; AutoCAD for 2D; CATA V5; SmarTeam; training in ProEngineer and CATIA; training in LOA (Layout of Passenger Accommodations) interpretation Other
