One year's experience as a Nuclear Medicine Tech Current Nuclear Medicine Technologist/Radiography license in compliance with state regulations Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC) Preferred Qualifications
Current ARRT or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position Summary
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals, operates imaging equipment, monitors patient safety, and ensures compliance with radiation safety standards while collaborating with healthcare teams to deliver accurate and effective diagnostic results. Essential Work Functions
Educates patients about nuclear medicine procedures and answers questions Maintains and inspects equipment, reports malfunctions, and ensures radiation safety compliance Prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols Monitors patients for adverse reactions and intervenes to ensure safety Operates imaging equipment to create images per physician orders Documents procedure details in patient records Follows safety rules and radiation procedures to minimize exposure Performs other duties as assigned within scope Required Essential Skills
Critical thinking, service excellence, strong interpersonal communication English language proficiency Ability to read/write and follow instructions; PC skills Physical ability to remain stationary, move equipment, push/pull, and bend Ability to work with a variety of personnel and maintain professionalism Technical/motor skills for handling procedures and equipment Mental ability to work under pressure, follow schedules, and maintain attention to detail Visual acuity and effective communication skills Benefits Include
