Job Description
The Southwest Connecticut Mental Health System (SWCMHS) is seeking a Physical Therapist to provide professional physical therapy services to individuals with intellectual disabilities or other developmental disabilities. Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings. Evaluate patients' physical conditions through medical history, observation, and diagnostic tests. Provide physical therapy services, including therapeutic exercise programs and manual therapy techniques. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to create comprehensive treatment plans. Document evaluations, treatments, and outcomes accurately in patient records. Requirements: Licensure as a Physical Therapist issued by the Connecticut State Department of Public Health. Knowledge of principles and practices of physical therapy, applied anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology. Interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
