Business Tax Services – Private Tax Partnerships – Manager
Join EY to lead tax services for high‑growth private companies including family‑owned businesses, private equity‑owned entities, and global private companies. EY Private Tax provides sophisticated planning and compliance across partnerships, foreign entities, and cross‑border structures.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for U.S. partnerships, including foreign reporting requirements for cross‑border compliance.
Draft tax research memoranda and quantitative modeling for private client advisory services.
Identify and communicate significant tax matters to Managers and Senior Managers.
Build long‑term client relationships, tailoring services to unique needs.
Co‑manage a team of tax professionals, reviewing work and coaching junior colleagues.
Monitor risks and opportunities to improve services and processes.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, tax, or related field; CPA certification or bar membership preferred.
Minimum 5 years of professional services or tax organization experience.
Strong collaboration, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.
Experience with partnership, foreign entity, and cross‑border tax compliance.
Willingness to travel as required.
Preferred
Continuous learning commitment.
Proficiency with tax software such as RIA, CCH IntelliConnect, OneSource, BNA, or Lexis‑Nexis.
Experience in gift, estate, and trust tax planning.
Experience managing, coaching, and mentoring junior colleagues.
