Tax - Business Tax Services - Corporate Tax Manager
EY is looking for a Corporate Tax Manager to join our Private Tax practice, focusing on serving privately held companies across the United States and abroad. In this role, you will provide client‑centric tax services, work on complex compliance and planning projects, and guide a team of tax professionals.
Your Key Responsibilities
Prepare or review federal and state tax returns for U.S. corporations, partnerships, and foreign entities, including cross‑border reporting requirements.
Draft tax research memoranda and perform quantitative modeling for private client tax advisory services.
Identify significant tax matters and communicate findings to senior managers, partners, and clients.
Build relationships with other service lines and subject‑matter experts to deliver integrated solutions.
Develop and maintain long‑term client relationships, tailoring services to each client’s needs.
Explain complex tax issues to non‑tax professionals and clients.
Continuously update technical knowledge and share best practices within the team.
Manage, coach, and develop a team of tax professionals, reviewing work and ensuring the team has the tools to excel.
Identify and mitigate risks and opportunities to improve services and processes.
Skills And Attributes For Success
A bachelor's degree in a related field, with demonstrated tax, business, or financial planning experience.
CPA certification or membership in The Bar.
Prior experience with ASC 740 tax provisions.
Excellent collaboration, negotiation, and confident communication skills.
Minimum of 5 years of work experience in a professional services or professional tax organization.
A commitment to ongoing learning and development.
Proficiency with tax software such as RIA, CCH IntelliConnect, OneSource, BNA, or Lexis Nexis.
Willingness to travel as needed and ability to work in a balanced hybrid environment.
Experience managing, coaching, and mentoring junior colleagues.
