What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Research and identify potential school and district partners through various outreach methods
Qualify leads by understanding their needs and set up appointments for Account Managers
Build relationships with educators and administrators to promote Scholastic Reading Events
Maintain accurate records of interactions in the CRM system and track sales goals
Collaborate with the sales team to improve lead generation strategies and sales techniques
What is Required (Qualifications)
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or a related field
Minimum of three (3) years of proven successful sales experience in retail or district/territory sales
Proficiency with MS Office software and experience with Sales Automation or CRM software
Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation abilities
Outstanding interpersonal skills for building relationships with customers and team members
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Familiarity with children’s literature, Book Fairs, and school activities
Proven leadership abilities and qualities demonstrated in previous roles
Experience in event management and personal selling
Proficient in marketing and merchandising strategy and execution
