Provide best-in-class guest service: greet guests promptly; respond to questions and concerns quickly, effectively, and courteously; assist guests with their video gaming needs; inform guests of promotions; recommend additional items; apply selling behaviors during every transaction; thank guests for shopping at GameStop; circulate throughout the store to prioritize guests over tasks. Support the overall shopping environment, including visual and operational elements, current sales initiatives, and guest relationships that drive sales and repeat business. Process guest purchases and returns using the POS system accurately, including handling changes, bagging, and providing receipts. Respond to guest comments or questions in person or by phone; escalate issues to the Store Manager when appropriate. Promote GameStop’s guest benefits such as the new title reservations program, trade-in program, and Pro Rewards. Assist the Store Manager with setting guest service expectations and training store associates in company policies and procedures. Monitor associate performance, provide timely feedback, and address unsatisfactory performance as directed. Provide recognition and feedback to store associates and document it in the HR system in partnership with the Store Manager. Ensure associates complete onboarding and training before opening or closing shifts; ensure knowledge of policies, inventory control, loss prevention, safety, financial, and ethical responsibilities. Schedule store associates in line with guidelines; manage breaks and meals and maintain optimum staffing for guest service. Approve payroll, manage paid time off, and verify timely payment of associates. Maintain clean, organized, and merchandised store areas; ensure fixtures and equipment are in good working order. Fulfill and ship Omni-Channel orders daily. Protect company assets through inventory control and loss prevention; inspect packages at closing as required; communicate concerns to the Store Manager. Support the store team in achieving sales, profits, and shrink goals; complete required administrative tasks. Perform inventory counts and stock/restock merchandise; move products from stock rooms to the sales floor and ensure items are represented and organized. Balance daily transactions and reconcile POS closeouts; manage cash and bank deposits according to policy. Verify shipments for discrepancies and report any issues; conduct inventories and communicate discrepancies to the Store Manager or District Manager. Process defectives/recalls and stock pulls with proper labeling and packing. Maintain awareness of associate and guest safety; report injuries promptly per company guidelines. Maintain store records and ensure manuals are up to date; supervise and delegate tasks to Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders in the Store Manager’s absence. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including the Associate Handbook and Code of Standards, Ethics & Conduct; follow opening and closing procedures. Qualifications

Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to legally work in the United States. Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree with emphasis in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field preferred. At least 6 months of retail management experience preferred. At least 2 years of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred. Video game knowledge preferred. Clear verbal and written communication skills in English; bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change. Work independently and as part of a team; meet performance expectations. Operate Point-of-Sale (POS) system; basic math and alphabetizing skills. Complete required paperwork properly and follow instructions as given. Execute financial tasks in accordance with company policy. Flexible scheduling, including nights, weekends, and some holidays; minimum 3 days per week. Remain reliable, trustworthy, and able to manage pressure; be a problem solver. Able to stand and move around the store for extended periods; lift up to 30 lbs as required. Understanding of military ranks and insignia for stores on military bases (as applicable).
