Full Time Assistant Store Manager (Store 0569) at GameStop. The role supports the Store Manager in all facets of store operations and helps develop a sales culture while delivering outstanding guest service. Responsibilities

Provide best-in-class guest service: greet guests, respond to questions/concerns quickly and courteously, assist with video gaming needs, inform guests of promotions, recommend items, apply selling behaviors, and circulate to prioritize guests over tasks. Support the total shopping environment, including visual and operational elements and current sales initiatives to drive guest relationships and repeat business. Process guest purchases/returns using the POS system accurately and promptly; ensure proper changes, receipts, and top-notch guest service. Respond to guest comments or questions in person or on the phone; escalate issues to the Store Manager when appropriate. Promote GameStop guest benefits (new title reservations, trade-in program, Pro Rewards) to guests. Assist the Store Manager with setting guest service expectations and training store associates in company policies and guidelines. Observe associate performance and provide timely feedback; address unsatisfactory performance as directed to align with guest service expectations. Provide recognition and feedback to store associates; document feedback in the HR system in partnership with the Store Manager. Ensure onboarding, job training, and compliance training are completed before opening/closing shifts; knowledge of policies, inventory control, loss prevention, safety, financial protocol, and ethics. Schedule store associates to follow guidelines; supervise staffing to maintain optimum guest service levels. Approve payroll, manage paid time off, and verify compensation for time worked. Maintain a clean, organized store and ensure fixtures and equipment are in proper working order. Ensure Omni-Channel orders are fulfilled and shipped daily. Protect company assets through inventory control and loss prevention; inspect packages at closing as needed and report concerns to the Store Manager. Support the store team in meeting sales, profit, and shrink goals and complete required administrative duties. Perform inventory counts, stock/restock, and organize products to ensure representation and accessibility on the sales floor. Balance daily transactions in the POS system and complete closeout paperwork; manage cash and deposits as required. Verify shipments for discrepancies, conduct inventories, and communicate issues to the Store Manager/District Manager. Process defectives/recalls and stock pulls with proper labeling and packing lists. Maintain guest and associate safety; report injuries per company guidelines. Maintain store records/files neatly and ensure manuals are up to date. Supervise and delegate tasks to Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders in the Store Manager’s absence. Adhere to GameStop policies and procedures, including those in the Associate Handbook and Code of Standards, Ethics & Conduct. Follow opening and closing procedures. Qualifications

Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States. Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field preferred. At least 6 months of retail management experience preferred. At least 2 years of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred. Video game knowledge preferred. Outgoing, welcoming personality with strong people skills. Provide genuine and individualized assistance to every guest. Clear verbal and written communication; English proficiency; bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and independently or in a team. Attend to attendance, appearance, safety, and respectful workplace expectations. Operate POS system and basic math and alphabetizing skills. Complete required paperwork accurately and follow written or diagrammed instructions. Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and some holidays; minimum 3 days/week availability. Handle pressure, be a problem-solver, and maintain guest interactions. Be reliable and trustworthy; use good judgment. Ability to stand, move, and lift up to 30 lbs; capable of reaching and performing occupational tasks.
