Leasing Consultant – Responsibilities
Show, lease, and move in prospective residents; qualify, tour the community, and sign a lease.
Complete all leasing paperwork before move‑in and assist with lease audits, walking units, and turn processes.
Maintain accurate prospect traffic and leasing data, responding to prospect leads within 24 hours.
Utilize established sales and marketing strategies to increase property traffic, maintain closing ratios, and work to achieve and exceed leasing goals.
Assist in developing and implementing resident retention programs (e.g., resident functions, special promotions, monthly newsletter).
Manage resident complaints, concerns, and requests to ensure resident satisfaction.
Perform various administrative tasks as needed and maintain a clean office and common areas.
Assist in implementing the annual marketing plan outreach and conduct market survey/analysis.
Maintain thorough product knowledge of the property and competition; complete weekly market survey reports.
Ensure consistency in dealing with residents and enforce community policies.
Education & Experience
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Basic computer skills and ability to use on‑site software functions.
Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.
Physical Requirements
Regular movement to accomplish tasks, including moving between worksites and communicating with others.
Frequently required to ascend/descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and step stools.
Occasionally required to move objects up to 25 lbs. and operate machinery or vehicles.
Ability to work overtime, weekends, night hours (emergencies), in various temperatures and environments.
Salary Range $16 per hour to $18 per hour
