Full Time Assistant Store Manager (Store 5153) at GameStop. Working with minimal supervision, the Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in all facets of store operations and develops a sales culture by providing outstanding guest service experiences through professional conduct and passion for gaming. Responsibilities

Provide best-in-class guest service: greet guests, respond to questions/concerns quickly and courteously, inform guests of promotions, recommend items, apply selling behaviors, and circulate throughout the store to prioritize guests over tasks. Support the shopping environment, including visual/operational elements, sales initiatives, and guest relationships that lead to sales and repeat business. Process guest purchases/returns using the POS system accurately, including handling money and providing receipts. Respond to guest questions in person or by phone; escalate issues to the Store Manager as needed. Promote GameStop benefits (e.g., reservations, trade-in, Pro Rewards). Assist the Store Manager with setting guest service expectations and training store associates on policies and procedures. Observe performance, provide feedback, and address unsatisfactory performance as directed. Provide recognition and feedback to associates and document performance in Workday/HR system in partnership with the Store Manager. Ensure onboarding and training of associates prior to opening/closing shifts; ensure knowledge of policies, inventory control, loss prevention, safety, financial protocol, and ethics. Coordinate scheduling to meet guidelines, manage breaks/meals, and ensure optimal guest service. Approve payroll, manage time off, and verify pay for time worked. Maintain store cleanliness, organization, merchandising, and functioning equipment. Fulfill Omni-Channel orders daily. Protect company assets via inventory control and loss prevention; conduct security checks at closing as appropriate and report concerns to the Store Manager. Support the team in meeting sales, profit, and shrink goals; perform required administrative duties. Conduct inventory counts, restock merchandise, and ensure products are represented and organized. Count, balance, and reconcile daily transaction totals; handle closeout paperwork and bank deposits as required. Verify shipments for discrepancies and conduct inventories; communicate discrepancies to management. Process defectives/recalls and stock pulls accurately; label boxes with packing lists. Maintain associate and guest safety; report injuries per guidelines. Help maintain store records/files; assist with up-to-date manuals. Supervise and delegate tasks to Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders in the absence of the Store Manager. Adhere to GameStop policies and procedures and opening/closing procedures. Qualifications

Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States. Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business/marketing/merchandising preferred. At least 6 months of retail management experience preferred. At least 2 years of retail sales/guest service/management experience preferred. Video game knowledge preferred. Key Skills and Abilities

Outgoing, welcoming personality with strong people skills. Provide genuine and individualized guest assistance. Clear verbal/written communication; English; bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; work independently or as part of a team. Meet performance expectations including attendance, safety, and respectful workplace. Operate POS system; basic math and organizational skills. Complete required paperwork; follow written or spoken instructions. Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays; minimum 3 days/week availability. Ability to manage pressure and solve problems creatively; reliable and trustworthy. Able to stand/move for extended periods; ability to lift up to 30 lbs and perform physical tasks. Onboarding knowledge of military ranks/insignia for stores on military bases (where applicable).
