Overview
Canon USA is seeking a Copier Account Executive (Executive, Technical Sales) for the Mid-West region. The role involves developing strategies to increase sales with key decision-makers in the Dealer Sales Channel and end users, promoting strong business relationships with assigned dealers and their branches while maintaining high ethical standards. The role requires effective communication with Fortune 500 executives—CEOs, CIOs, and CFOs—to present high-level sales strategies, ROI analyses, and technical workflow solutions, and to provide technical expertise to assist dealers and customers in selecting hardware and software solutions. Additional responsibilities include managing dealer accounts and territories, coordinating product launches and updates, organizing events and tradeshows, and applying professional expertise to resolve routine issues within company policies.
This position is full time and virtual. The office will be open five days a week; however you will not be required to report to the office unless there is a specific business need. Work schedules and office reporting requirements may change based on business needs.
Responsibilities
Develop strategies to increase sales with key decision makers in the Dealer Sales Channel and with End User; promote the business relationship between the company and assigned dealers and/or offices
Communicate effectively with Fortune 500 customers including CEOs, CIOs, and CFOs, presenting high-level sales strategies, ROI, and technical workflow analyses
Assist Dealer Sales Channel and End User Customers with technical knowledge for detailed analysis and recommended hardware and software solutions
Manage Dealer Sales Channel accounts, territories, marketing program implementation, education, and other channel support
Conduct high-level introductory sales calls; provide Retail Sales Channel proposal development and bid support
Coordinate and implement product launches and equipment/software updates with Dealer Sales Channel
Manage coordination of events and tradeshows
Operate within established policies and standard practices; apply specialized knowledge in a functional area
Develop professional expertise and apply company policies to resolve routine issues
Maintain working knowledge of company products and services
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience; 3-5 years of related experience
Experience with copier sales / A3 market required
B2B retail sales and/or customer-facing experience with copier dealers or manufacturers is preferred
Experience selling directly to end users is required
CompTIA CDIA/CDIA+ and CompTIA Network+ certifications are a plus
5+ years in sales/sales support and related experience
Travel of 75% or more in the Mid-West is expected
This position works remotely from a home office near a major metropolitan city/airport and requires overnight travel. A valid driver's license and clean driving record are required; driving is an essential function of the job. The company safety guidelines and policies must be followed.
Salary range: $69,300 - $103,770 annually. This role is eligible for commissions under the applicable plan.
