Full Time Assistant Store Manager (Store 4916) at GameStop. Working with minimal supervision, the Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in all facets of store operations, develops a sales culture, and provides outstanding guest service experiences. This position supervises Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders in the absence of the Store Manager. Responsibilities

Provide best-in-class guest service: greet guests promptly; respond to questions/concerns quickly and courteously; inform guests of promotions; recommend additional items; apply selling behaviors during every transaction; circulate throughout the store to prioritize guests over tasks. Support the shopping environment, including visual/operational elements, current sales initiatives, and guest relationships that lead to sales and repeat business. Process guest purchases/returns accurately using the POS system; provide receipts and ensure high-quality guest service. Respond to guest questions in person or by phone; escalate issues to the Store Manager when appropriate. Promote GameStop guest benefits (e.g., new title reservations, trade-in program, Pro Rewards). Assist the Store Manager with setting guest service expectations and training associates on company policies and guidelines. Observe associate performance, provide feedback, and address unsatisfactory performance as directed; document feedback in the HR system in partnership with the Store Manager. Ensure onboarding, training, and compliance training are completed prior to opening/closing shifts; knowledge of store policies, inventory control, loss prevention, safety, financial protocol, and ethics. Schedule associates to follow guidelines; supervise staffing to maintain optimal guest service; approve payroll and time edits; verify pay. Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and merchandising per guidelines; ensure fixtures and equipment are in proper working order. Fulfill Omni-Channel orders and ensure daily shipment processing. Protect assets through inventory control and loss prevention; inspect packages at closing; report concerns to the Store Manager. Meet/exceed sales, profit, and shrink goals; complete required administrative duties. Conduct stock counts, restock merchandise, and ensure products are represented and organized; manage inventory flow from stock room to sales floor. Reconcile daily transaction totals in the POS; complete closeout paperwork; ensure adequate cash/change and daily deposits. Verify shipments for discrepancies; conduct inventories and report discrepancies to management. Process defectives/ recalls and stock pulls; label boxes with packing lists. Maintain associate and guest safety; report injuries per guidelines. Maintain store records/files and ensure manuals are up to date. Supervise and delegate tasks to Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders in the absence of the Store Manager. Adhere to all company policies, including the Associate Handbook and Code of Standards, Ethics & Conduct; follow opening/closing procedures. Qualifications

Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States; at least 18 years old. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field preferred. At least 6 months of retail management experience preferred; at least 2 years of retail sales/guest service/management experience preferred. Video game knowledge preferred. Key Skills and Abilities

Outgoing, welcoming personality with strong people skills; ability to assist every guest during every visit. Clear verbal and written communication; English; bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; work independently and in a team; meet performance expectations. Operate POS system; basic math and alphabetizing skills; complete required paperwork accurately. Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and some holidays; minimum 3 days/week availability. Ability to work under pressure and solve problems creatively; reliable and trustworthy. Physical ability to stand/move for long periods; lift up to 30 lbs; perform required motions; basic safety awareness. May require onboarding on military bases for relevant locations. Benefits: Full-time store positions may participate in incentive programs, 401(k), paid time off, dental, vision, and health insurance. Bonus and other incentives may apply. Compensation: $10.75 - $14.75 per hour.
